Menu Dynasty · Version 2026-09-13
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Menu Dynasty stores for restaurant menus and the optional customer features. Browsing a menu does not require a customer account.
Business accounts
We store your account email, a secure password hash, email-verification status, agreement version and acceptance time, restaurant profile, menus, tables, and submitted product feedback. Restaurant information you save is displayed on your public menu.
Customer consent
Before submitting analytics, a rating, a reminder request, or a bill email, you must check the agreement box. We record the agreement version and time with a temporary anonymous visit identifier. Your selection stays in the current page unless needed as context for a reminder you request. After consent, a random visit token is kept in this browser tab’s session storage to support the visit; it does not create a customer profile.
What restaurants can see
Restaurants can see their own table identifiers, Seems Interesting interaction counts, overall ratings, optional comments, and reminder-request counts.
Menu Dynasty does not allow restaurant businesses to access customer email addresses, private customer identifiers, or uploaded bill images, including personal information collected for customer reminders. Rating comments are visible to the restaurant, so please avoid putting personal information in them.
Optional email and bill features
We collect an email address only when you request a reminder or ask to email yourself a bill. Reminder records include selected menu-item names and a secure rating link. Uploaded bills are optimized, stripped of image metadata, and stored as Base64 images. A requested reminder may include your bill image. The configured email delivery provider processes the information needed to deliver these emails. We do not use it for marketing.
Retention
Customer visit records, email addresses, bill photos, selection snapshots, ratings/comments, interest events, and customer consent records are deleted after 3 months from the visit’s creation. Cleanup runs periodically. Business account and menu data remain while the account is maintained. Copies of emails in your own mailbox are controlled by you and your email provider.
Cookies and security
Business sign-in uses a secure, HTTP-only cookie with rolling expiration: 1 day normally, or 30 days when Remember me is selected. Normal browser-session cookies can disappear when the browser closes. Anti-forgery cookies protect forms. Short-lived technical counters limit abuse; they are not restaurant analytics. Menu Dynasty uses authorization boundaries to keep business data separate and restrict access to private customer data.
Language preference is saved in a cookie for one year. Business account language and reminder language are also saved to deliver the interface and requested emails in your chosen language.
